Pastors:

Dear Friends,

As all of us know by now the COVID-19 virus has changed our world in many ways.  It has caused us to have to cancel and reschedule meetings we had planned in our families, churches and in our Association.  In order to communicate the changes in our Association and to provide additional information about ways we can minister in these days as an Association, please check the DBA website www.dyerbaptistassociation.com and our FB page regularly.  We are using this newsletter to help also.  Some exciting and meaningful ways to share the gospel are before us so be in prayer that we take advantage of these opportunities.

Partnership with CDC and TBMB

Pastors and church leaders have received information about a request from the CDC and TBMB to help people in our community during these days of distress.  I have sent information to your church leaders about this opportunity.  I will be posting more information on our website.

Executive Board Meeting

As of the writing of this letter, we are still planning to have our quarterly Executive Board meeting.  It will be at Springhill Baptist Church at 7:00 pm on April 14.  A meal will be served at 6:00 pm.  Please make plans to be a part of this important meeting as we will be discussing the way ahead for our Association.

Financial Secretary needed

We are accepting applications for a new Financial Secretary.  Brittany Harwell has served us in an exceptional way since October of last year.  She is moving into the BCM Director position May 1 upon approval at the Executive Board Meeting in April.  If you know of someone who would be interested in this position, we are accepting resumes by email at dbadom@att.net.

Spring Bible Conference (March 9-10)

Earlier this month, we had an association wide Bible Conference at RoEllen Baptist Church.  This conference was led by very capable people who provided excellent training and motivation for ministry.  About 50 different people attended the conference.  If you were not able to come, you missed a blessing.  We are talking about having another conference next year.

Enjoying the journey,

Dennis R. Jones, your DOM
